More pics, the ring close up is for lizee

he popped the question in carmel on the beach!!

so here it is
totally 100% official ring on my finger and all
and it was WORTH THE WAIT
oh my brandon is amazing
he kidnapped me on saturday morning and took me to breakfast both in our pjs
at our favorite, mimis cafe
then we got packed and ready and went to the bay area
for a quick stop to meet his aunt and uncle and have lunch
then headed south to carmel on the beach
oh my goodness it is gorgeous there!
i had never been
we went to a state park
and as we get out of the guitar he grabs a guitar bag
mind you
i'm not sure he hardly play
have only ever heard one song from him nor do i think he owns one
so we wander out onto the cliff
and the whole time he is saying cute things about how wonderful the day is
and how excited he is to be with me always
then we sit down and he played "i wanna grow old with you"
from the wedding singer
it was perfect, i started bawling 2 lines in
and he got pretty choked up as well
the i gave him this huge kiss and he gets on one knee
and grabs the ring box
told me how ever since he first met me he has thought i was gorgeous
and then we flirted and ever since he has just been crazy about me
he tried to write it down but nothing seemed to do it justice
so he just said he wants to be with me every day forever
and make me happy always
and then asked me to marry him
i kissed him and said "YES! a MILLION TIMES YES!!"
and we took pictures lots...
then headed to this amazing restaurant called Pacific's Edge
he planned it to be right at sunset
and they even gave us special treatment
then we stayed the night at his pampa's house
and went to church the next morning and relaxed all day
so perfect
so wonderful!!

should black and white attire be requested?

i'm trying to decide
it could be really neat to have black and white retire for guests
just really depends
that would make some awesome pictures though
really classy i think
i want to make sure we can tell who the wedding party is
a thought just occurred to me though
i think that you can tell by the flowers
parents all have corsages/boutineers sp?
then bridesmaids will have bouquets
just a thought...

let me know if you see any fun black and white decor
or a fun accent color for tables as well
i think we decided on this dot tie for the guys
all the groomsmen would wear it with their tuxedos
and the brothers in law would wear it with like a black suit

it is a geoffrey bean tie some white dots some silver
we found them at like ross and marshalls i think
only have 2 already and will need 8
so if you all can keep your eye out for those it would be great

i think we are going to keep the cake simple
three separate tiers
each cheesecake
we might just do simple cheesecake and have really decorative stands
fondant is an option still
saw a beautiful example that could be really fun
we both decided we don't really like normal cake
so why fake it in the pictures,
we might as well have somthing that we like

brandon picked out some tuxedos he really likes
he is thinking about a white one for him
could be really classy
everyone else in black and white
then he and i will be all in white
it is a calvin klein
i added a photo
i think that is the right one

wedding plan update

so here is where we are
found an awesome jazz band
now we are just negotiating prices
but brandies and i checked them out on saturday
got all gussied up
brandon bought a whole new outfit
(looked incredibly attractive!!)
and we went to zinfandel grill for salmon and crab cakes
delish!
the band played and we ended up dancing
they even dedicated a song to "the engaged couple over there"
it was a perfect night out
oh, and i failed to mention the 14 long stemmed yellow roses he brought as well
he is good to me
anyway, we loved them...will have to talk down prices though

i figured out the dress i want
it is gorgeous
and fitted through the whol body with a small train and some poofage at the bottom
i'll attach a picture
i'm getting it made in utah
i'm so tall...i think mom and i will still go dress shopping for fun though
i just saw this dress and fell in love
super simple and classic
i don't think my sash will be colored though
probably still a pretty white fabric

i talked with our photographer yesterday
bruce dayton will do all the pics for us
wedding day, bridals, and engagement photos
you can see his stuff at daytonphoto.com
he does a good job
but what i like most is that he takes a million pictures
and we get all the proofs
so we can have fun and photoshop our own
and make as many copies as we so desire
he isn't the most perfect photographer

we also have a friend that will be taking candid shots on the wedding day
he is in our major and will be here for the day
so he offered his services
